Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou could be to blame for Destiny Udogie being injured, according to The Sun.

A report in the newspaper's print edition (page 51, 3 January) claims that multiple hamstring injuries have hit the Australian's squad during his time in North London.

It suggests that his high-intensity training methods and approach to matches could contribute to such injuries as players at his previous clubs also suffered from hamstring issues.

However, it also states that the player believes that his current issue which could see him out of action for two months is solely down to bad luck rather than his manager.

Will Tottenham sign a left-back

The injury list in defence seems to be always expanding at Spurs with Udogie, Ben Davies, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, and Guglielmo Vicario all ruled out for the foreseeable future.

The Lilywhites may find themselves dipping into the transfer market to resolve those issues on a short-term basis as they seek to climb from 11th place in the Premier League.

They are reportedly interested in bringing in a goalkeeper, centre-back, left-back, midfielder and an attacker [Football London].

Postecoglou has been under heavy pressure in recent weeks but must be given some leeway due to the injuries issues in his squad, especially the backline.

If Spurs bring in the right kinds of players in the January transfer window he may get the chance to turn things around in North London and save his job.

If not, he could find himself out of a job by the start of February if results stay as underwhelming as they have been.
