Zachariah Simons has left Tottenham after continuous battles with long-term injuries, according to Lilywhite Rose.

Reporting via X on Tuesday (22 October), the Spurs insider revealed that the right-back had initially stayed at the club over the summer to continue his recovery.

While Simons' current injury status is unclear, he has ended his association with the North London club as he potentially seeks opportunities elsewhere.

"U21’s player, Zachariah Simons has now left the club", Lilywhite Rose tweeted.

"Zac stayed on during the summer to continue his rehab with Spurs following several lengthy injuries over the last few years but the Leytonstone born youngster has now moved on."

Teenage right-back leaves Tottenham

Simons having to leave Tottenham after being marred by injuries is a shame as he could have possibly become a senior player at the club.

Mikey Moore and Jamie Donley have risen through the ranks and made their first-team debuts under Ange Postecoglou and who knows if the right-back could have done the same had it not been for injuries.

Nevertheless, the 18-year-old will now be hopeful of steering clear of further injuries and forge a career elsewhere.

As for now, Postecoglou has two senior right-backs in his ranks in Pedro Porro and Djed Spence.

However, the futures of those two players are also uncertain, with Porro attracting interest from La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid [GiveMeSport].

Spence, meanwhile, has been left out of Spurs' 25-man squad for the UEFA Europa League group stage matches in what is an evident indication of his importance in the team.
