Ange Postecoglou is going to struggle to avoid the sack at Tottenham after a Dejan Kulusevski injury update.

If Postecoglou is sacked by Daniel Levy, the Australian will no doubt feel as though injuries played a big part in his demise.

Tottenham have seen more or less each of their first-team players sidelined at one point or another this season, with Cristian Romero aiming a subtle dig at the Tottenham medical team recently.

This isn't thought to have gone down well, and could cause some tension behind the scenes between Romero and members of the Spurs staff.

However, based on the injury record in North London this season, it is hard not to question the medical team at Tottenham, especially after a recent update on Kulusevski emerged.

Postecoglou's future is thought to be in "serious" doubt, although Tottenham remain focused on finishing the season on a high for now as they prepare for their UEFA Europa League quarter-final tie against Eintracht Frankfurt.

However, regardless of what happens between now and the end of the season, there are question marks over Postecoglou's long-term future in North London.

Therefore, a recent update on Kulusevski won't have filled the 59-year-old with too much confidence that he can turn things around at Tottenham.

There were already fears that Kulusevski would miss the clash with Chelsea in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Thursday (3 April). However, it could get much worse.

When asked if the Swede would be fit for the Europa League clash with Frankfurt, reliable Spurs insider Paul O Keefe responded via X (28 March), "Not sure. Apparently worse than they first thought but the boot came off yesterday so progress."

Tottenham will struggle without Kulusevski

Kulusevski has arguably been Spurs' best player this season.

Therefore, the Lilywhites could struggle to advance to the next round of the Europa League without the 24-year-old, which could, in turn, lead to Postecoglou being sacked.

However, the ramifications could be even greater than this, with Kulusevski's future at Tottenham in doubt if Postecoglou's side don't qualify for Europe.
