Ange Postecoglou will be concerned about Tottenham ace Lucas Bergvall after he hobbled off against AZ Alkmaar on Thursday (24 October).

Spurs recorded a 1-0 win over the Eredivisie outfit in the UEFA Europa League at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. As a result, they now have nine points out of nine in Europe this season.

It was Richarlison who netted the winner from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute after Bergvall had been fouled inside the box.

Mikey Moore dazzled in North London as excitement continues to build around the 17-year-old. However, the home side didn't have it all their own way, with AZ Alkmaar posing a constant threat on the break.

And despite the victory, Postecoglou wouldn't have been entirely happy at full-time as the Australian was handed a fresh injury blow.

Bergvall was forced off in the 73rd minute of the European clash. As per talkSPORT via X (24 October), the 18-year-old could be seen clutching his leg in what could be a "huge blow" for Tottenham.

Ange Postecoglou handed Lucas Bergvall injury concern at Tottenham

Bergvall was handed another opportunity to impress on Thursday and the young midfielder, one of many talented youngsters at Spurs, did just that.

As per Sofascore, Bergvall completed 91 per cent of his passes, with one of those key, while he also created one big chance.

In addition, the Swede played two accurate crosses into the box from three attempts, while four of his five long balls forward were also accurate.

He won the all-important penalty for his side and chipped in defensively, winning four of his seven ground duels, making one clearance, one interception and three tackles.

Therefore, Postecoglou will be hoping Bergvall's injury isn't anything serious as he will want to continue handing the 18-year-old first-team opportunities in the coming weeks.
