Ange Postecoglou has confirmed Ben Davies will remain unavailable for Tottenham against Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday.

Postecoglou's side will welcome Wolves to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 29 December, where they could be without Radu Drăgușin as well as Davies.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Postecoglou provided an injury update on the Welshman, telling the press [via Football London, 27 December], "No, he's ruled out.

"Unfortunately he had a setback in training and he's probably out for another couple of weeks. So yeah, he's gone."

Postecoglou could be in serious trouble at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, with Joe Hart sharing some insight on what is likely going on behind the scenes in North London.

It is looking as though the 59-year-old might be without all four of his senior centre-backs, which could prove to be a recipe for disaster, especially considering Spurs' recent defensive struggles at home.

In addition, Wolves have won both of their matches since Vitor Pereira took over from Gary O'Neil. Therefore, they will arrive full of confidence, which will only add to the home side's struggles on Sunday.

As a result, the club's final match of 2024 could also act as Postecoglou's last match in charge of Tottenham after the odds were slashed on the Australian being sacked.

A loss to Wolves would make it three league defeats on the bounce and 10 this season after just 20 matches.

As a result, injuries or not, chairman Daniel Levy might be left with no choice but to pull the trigger.
