Ange Postecoglou has provided an injury update on Richarlison ahead of the Premier League clash between Tottenham and Arsenal.

Postecoglou's side will travel to the Emirates on 15 January, with the Spurs boss expected to make four changes for the North London derby.

Jamie Carragher isn't optimistic about Spurs' chances at the Emirates. However, Postecoglou has shared an update which might provide some fans with a bit of optimism.

Speaking ahead of the clash [via Football London, 14 January], the Australian confirmed that Richarlison will be available for selection.

Postecoglou said, "In terms of incomings, Richy is available."

Richarlison to return for Tottenham against Arsenal

It has been a tough season for Spurs when it comes to injuries, with the club now recruiting for new behind-the-scenes staff as a result.

Therefore, Postecoglou will be relieved that he finally has a bit of positive news, with one long-term absentee ready to return for the North London derby. However, as is so often the case at Spurs, you can't have a bit of good news without some bad, with Timo Werner ruled out with a hamstring injury.

As a result, while Richarlison can return, Werner will be unavailable against Arsenal, which means the number of forwards Postecoglou has available to him remains the same.

However, after Werner's recent form, a lot of supporters would likely have suggested they would prefer to have Richarlison as an option than the German.

And while he is unlikely to start, fans will hope to see him make an impact off the bench against Arsenal.
