Antonee Robinson has shone for Fulham this season, and Tottenham have been told to sign the American as they go in search of a full-back.

Pedro Porro, who was recently sent a message by Lamine Yamal, is the club's current number-one choice at right-back.

Meanwhile, Djed Spence has shone for Spurs in recent months and demonstrated that he can play both as a right-back and left-back.

However, with Destiny Udogie struggling as of late, it looks as though Spurs are keen to add another option at left-back, with a Premier League player now in their sights.

Tottenham told to sign Robinson over Rayan Aït-Nouri

As reported by TheBoyHotspur (14 March), Wolves left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri is Tottenham's primary transfer target, with the Lilywhites preparing a £30.6million bid to sign the 23-year-old.

Therefore, this could spell trouble for Udogie at Spurs, with the Italian not at his best this season.

However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham - speaking exclusively to Tottenham News - would prefer the club to sign Fulham left-back Robinson.

“Aït-Nouri is a good player,” Wenham said.

“However, if Spurs are going to spend that kind of money on him, I’d rather they went after Robinson, without any shadow of a doubt.

“I think he is an outstanding full back who is a good age. Aït-Nouri only has one year left on his contract. Therefore, I understand these Tottenham-style links to him. However, I’d much rather Robinson was signed.”

Tottenham should try and sign Robinson

Robinson and Aït-Nouri would both be good additions to the Tottenham squad.

However, the former would certainly be the more ambitious signing. Robinson has been performing well for a Fulham side fighting higher up the table and is in the prime of his career age-wise.

As a result, spending the money on a ready-made player would be a sign that Daniel Levy is ready to bring in established Premier League talent.

Aït-Nouri wouldn't be bad business either. However, it would once again represent Spurs going for the younger and perhaps slightly cheaper option.
