Tottenham to agree £15million deal with AC Milan for Emerson Royal amid transfer update

John Wenham believes Tottenham will agree a £15million deal with AC Milan for Emerson Royal.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose claims a move could be agreed upon soon.

Emerson joined Tottenham from FC Barcelona for a fee of £25.73million (Sky Sports News, 1 September 2021).

According to The Times (12 June), Spurs are seeking £21million for the fullback amid interest from AC Milan.

But Wenham - speaking exclusively to Tottenham News - feels the club are now prepared to accept a bigger loss on the Brazillian.

“Tottenham are trying to get the best possible deal across the line, and rightly so,” Wenham said.

“I think they will eventually agree a fee of around £15million for Emerson, which is a slight loss.

“He hasn’t let anyone down. He is always available, and he is the kind of character you want around the squad, he just isn’t right for Ange Postecoglou’s system.

“He will be keen to follow in the footsteps of his idol Cafu and play for AC Milan and good luck to him.

“I think that move will be confirmed relatively soon.”

Will Emerson Royal leave Tottenham and join AC Milan this summer?

This would be a fantastic move for Emerson.

Milan are playing in the UEFA Champions League next season and could therefore prove to be an attractive option for the right-back.

In addition, plenty of Brazillian legends across the years have pulled on the AC Milan shirt, and that could be something else that entices the player to join the club.

It is clear that he is unlikely to play regularly under Postecoglou, and if the two clubs can agree a deal, this is a move that should be signed off on soon.
