Amanda Staveley's purchase of a 12.5 per cent stake in Tottenham is "imminent", according to John Wenham.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose feels this investment could open the door for a full takeover in the future.

And Wenham - speaking exclusively to Tottenham News - has suggested a deal is close.

“There is certainly something going on there,” Wenham said.

“I’m sure that Staveley’s expertise and network of contacts would prove very valuable to Tottenham.

“Even if she only buys a 12.5 per cent stake now, which is the rumour, that leaves the door open to potentially purchasing more in the future, once her team is settled at the club.

“However, yes, it does look like something is fairly imminent.”

Amanda Staveley to complete purchase of 12.5 per cent stake in Tottenham?

Spurs supporters are bound to be excited by the news of potential investment at Spurs. However, should Staveley complete a purchase, what her role with the club will be remains to be seen.

According to Alan Nixon via Patreon (13 October), Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe would be a target for Staveley, suggesting she would have a fair bit of power in North London.
