Dan Plumley has insisted that Tottenham applying to nearly double the number of major non-football events at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is an aggressive approach.

The football finance expert admitted that it is a way to diversify your income, something that will benefit Spurs in the long run with yet more new revenue.

Tottenham currently have permission to hold 16 of these events each year but want to push that up to 30 if they can under the stewardship of Daniel Levy [Football London].

"It's an aggressive strategy to target something that we knew was coming," he exclusively told Tottenham News.

"Diversification of revenue, that's nearly doubling the events from 16 to 30 if you get all of those through, we've spoken about how that works, they will be cutting fees or building themselves into deals for that kind of stuff to take a fee from it and all of the secondary spend they may get.

"Anything in that regard is a bonus from a revenue position.

"Again, it shows the way they are looking at driving this stadium forward and what they could do with it. It's just another kind of deliverance on that strategy that will benefit Spurs in the long term from a revenue point of view."

Tottenham and Daniel Levy set for even more new revenue?

Spurs have become a real revenue machine in recent years, not only in the Premier League but across the entirety of Europe too.

Moves such as these make it slightly more baffling that season ticket prices have increased, with Levy needing to make sure he keeps everyone on his side moving forward.
