Tottenham: Daniel Levy set for multi-million boost as Harry Kane return is confirmed on Wednesday

Daniel Levy is set for a big payday in North London with Harry Kane in line to make his first return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium since leaving the club.

Kane left his boyhood side last summer to join German giants Bayern Munich as part of a £100million move (Sky Sports News, 13 August 2023).

A Spurs legend and the club’s all-time leading goalscorer, Kane is now set for an emotional return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

After 435 appearances, 280 goals and 64 assists in Spurs colours, the 30-year-old could play against his former side for the first time in his career this summer.

That is because it was announced on Wednesday (via Tottenham Hotspur Official Website, 27 August) that Ange Postecoglou’s side will host Bayern Munich in the Visit Malta Cup ahead of the 2024/25 season getting underway.

The pre-season clash will take place on Saturday 10 August with a 5:30 pm kick-off time, with the prime slot demonstrating just how intriguing this clash is.

As well as Kane, Eric Dier could also return against Spurs after his long-term spell with the club on a day which promises to bring a huge multi-million boost for Levy.

With Kane set to feature once again in North London, it promises to be a sell-out crowd at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs have revealed that adult tickets will be priced at £30 while Under-18s will be able to catch a glimpse of Kane for as little as £10.

With the 62,000-plus seater stadium likely to be full, and with food and drink to also be sold on the day, Levy is looking at a lucrative payday in N17.

Even if just 34,000 seats are sold at the £30 mark, that is still a £1milliion-plus payday, before any other sales are taken into account.

It is yet another stroke of genius from the Spurs chairman who continues to drive the club’s finances on an upward trajectory.

It will be only the fourth time in 12 meetings between the two clubs that Spurs have hosted Bayern Munich, with the most recent visit of the six-time European champions coming during the 2019/20 season when Bayern thrashed Spurs 7-2 in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League.

Levy will be hoping for a more favourable result this time around, as well as a healthy payday.

In other Tottenham news, Postecoglou has been handed a boost with one 95 per cent Spurs ace spotted in first-team training ahead of the visit of Luton Town.
