Tottenham and Daniel Levy to receive another revenue stream as update emerges on Tuesday
Daniel Levy is continuing to turn Spurs, and more specifically the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, into a global attraction.
Levy often divides opinion among Spurs’ fanbase when it comes to how he runs the club on the pitch.
However, what cannot be denied is the chairman’s brilliance when it comes to his dealings away from the field of play.
And it looks as if the 62-year-old has created another revenue stream in North London which will offer Spurs a big cash injection.
As per The Athletic (26 March), Spurs’ plans for a 30-storey hotel to be built next to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium were approved by the Greater London Authority on Monday (25 March).
The club are now one step closer to beginning work on the infrastructure which will increase the number of visitors to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and therefore, increase the revenue generated by the club.
Daniel Levy continues to showcase his brilliance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will host games at the 2028 UEFA European Championships, and the hotel is scheduled to be ready in time for the showpiece international tournament.
It will consist of 180 rooms, with 49 residential apartments and 64 car park spaces, and it is to be built by the southwest corner of the stadium.
In addition, the hotel will also be the third biggest conferencing venue in London.
Following some back-and-forth with the local council, which included Spurs amending their initial 22-storey design to add an extra 27 metres in height to the hotel, their plans were finally approved by Harringay which meant all that was needed was a legal agreement between the borough and the mayor’s office.
That was what was announced on Monday, with Jules Pipe, the deputy mayor for planning, regeneration and skills, writing to Haringey to confirm that he was content for the borough “to determine the case itself”, as opposed to the Mayor’s office making a decision.
As a result, one of the biggest remaining hurdles has been cleared and work is almost ready to commence.
It is yet another stroke of genius from Levy, and he will be thrilled that he has been given the green light.
Tottenham have a large global fanbase with plenty of supporters flocking from around the world to visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium every other week.
Now, when fans come to catch a glimpse of the impressive stadium, they will have a place to stay right around the corner, a place which will put money into Levy’s pocket rather than separate third-party businesses nearby.

This can only be to the benefit of the club, which continues to thrive financially.
In other Tottenham news, a young sensation at Spurs will surely be on Postecoglou’s radar after what he did on the international stage this week.
