John Wenham doesn't think Tottenham will look to sign Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey due to the progress of Dejan Kulusevski.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose believes Kulusevski's transition to midfield reduces the club's need to sign another player in that position.

However, Wenham - speaking exclusively to Tottenham News - expects this transfer rumour to disappear from Spurs' point of view.

“I think with the evolution of Kulusevski, these rumours will quieten down,” Wenham said.

“Kulusevski has become one of the three central midfielders. As a result, I expect Spurs to work toward the Swede being an essential player in the middle of the park.

"That reduces the need to go out and sign another player in that position. Therefore, I expect Kulusevski’s progress to put a stop to stories such as the Ramsey one.”

Dejan Kulusevski to continue thriving under Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham?

It is the Australian who has moved the 24-year-old into a more central position, which has allowed the player to show the best of himself.

Ramsey would be an exciting signing, there is no doubt about that.

However, if Kulusevski continues playing as he is, it would also be an incredible unnecessary signing.

Therefore, while fans might be excited by the speculation, £50million seems an awful lot to spend on a player when you might already have someone better in his position.
