Daniel Levy strikes again as Tottenham in advanced talks to seal 'huge' deal

Daniel Levy has once again found a way to make money at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Not all of Levy's decisions have gone down well in North London as of late.

Ticket price increases, soaring kit costs and controversial commercial deals have all been on the agenda for the club.

As a result, Levy's popularity - which already wasn't exactly sky-high - is likely to have taken a few hits.

However, it looks as if the Spurs chairman has helped the club to strike a deal which is likely to go down very well among supporters.

As reported by Football London on Tuesday (9 July), "Tottenham Hotspur are in advanced negotiations over a huge new matchday shirt sleeve sponsorship deal which is expected to be announced as early as this month".

Spurs signed a shirt sleeve sponsorship agreement with Cinch in 2021. That deal was meant to run for five years, but the online car-selling company is believed to have exercised an early exit option.

Tottenham had a £10million-per-year agreement with Cinch and as a result of soaring sponsorship valuations, the value of their new partnership is set to dwarf that amount.

This is yet another example of the club growing off the pitch.

Ever since the club moved into the 62,000-seater Tottenham Hotspur Stadium the financial benefits have been clear.

And it appears as if they are continuing to reap the benefits of their shiny new home.

For all of the unpopular decisions Levy has made during his time at the club, it is hard to deny that he is turning Spurs into a financial and commercial giant.

Their agreement with Cinch ending early appears to have been to their benefit, and the club will hope to strike more similar deals like this over the coming years.

Most importantly, supporters will be keen to see where the money from this cash boost now goes, and they will firmly expect it to be poured into the transfer budget.

If not, Levy might once again have some questions to answer in North London, despite all the hard work he seems to be doing.
