Daniel Levy ‘can boost Tottenham transfer budget’ after new announcement

Daniel Levy has once again lined up a lucrative payday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Levy will be aware of the scrutiny he faces despite Tottenham reaching the UEFA Europa League final.

With Ange Postecoglou disillusioned by Spurs’ approach, Levy has focused his energy on securing the necessary finances, which will hopefully help to reset the Lilywhites this summer.

Post Malone adds second date at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Levy’s decision to build the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in place of White Hart Lane might not be paying off on the pitch. However, it is certainly earning its corn outside of the world of football.

The 62,850-seater stadium has become a hub for some of the world’s biggest sporting events, capable of transforming overnight to host boxing, NFL and rugby games.

It has also become a hotspot for international music stars to perform, with 50 Cent, Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar just some of the names descending to North London in the coming months to hold gigs.

Post Malone, who was already booked to perform at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, 7 September, has added another show the next day after selling out the original concert.

The rapper shared the news with his fans on Instagram on Thursday (8 May), with a second date added in Berlin as well as at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

While this may not excite match-going fans who are far more interested in the footballing operations, the added revenue that Levy has secured may impact Tottenham‘s ability to further invest in the squad.

Tottenham must match stadium with success

Tottenham’s state-of-the-art stadium may be the envy of clubs around the country, but with the team regressing, questions around Levy’s footballing decisions intensify.

Tottenham’s wage bill to income ratio is the lowest in the Premier League, yet they are the ninth richest club in world football according to Deloitte’s Money League.

These are not good optics for Levy, and despite Tottenham spending heftily in the last two transfer windows, they are in dire need of upgrades, especially with the possibility of Champions League football to contend with next season.
