Tottenham are undergoing an unfamiliar period in their history after the departure of executive chairman Daniel Levy.

Recent reports suggested that Brooklyn Earick was to launch a Tottenham takeover bid, with a £4.5billion figure in the offing.

However, sources close to the Lewis family claimed that Spurs are not for sale and that the interest was "unsolicited and unnecessary".

Now, Earick has hit back at those claims in an astonishing turn of events as the saga continues to rumble on.

Brooklyn Earick responds to 'unsolicited' Lewis reports

The American entrepreneur is understood to be willing to bid £3.3bn to buy the entire club, with a further £1.2bn to be invested into the playing squad.

  • Earick is a U.S. entrepreneur
  • He has experience in tech, blockchain, and media
  • Wants to take the leap into football business

On Friday, the 41-year-old posted a photograph from inside the Tottenham dressing room, accompanied by a countdown clock ticking down to 24 October, the date when he must declare a genuine interest in buying the North London club.

Now, Earick has posted an image on X of a document that includes information on his visit to several key locations of the North London club, including the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 6 August.

Furthermore, alongside details of the visit, there was information on the takeover offer as detailed in a disclosure table.

Strikingly, he wrote "unsolicited" above the image on 27 September, which was a clear dig at previous reports.

Do Tottenham want Brooklyn Earick after social media post?

While Earick's proposed takeover could mean significant investment for Spurs, there is reason to be cautious about the American.

Yes, news of a potential £4.5bn takeover has rightly caused excitement, but at the moment, nothing is official.

Furthermore, the 41-year-old's online antics are worrying as he is clearly trying to cause unnecessary drama.

Moreover, it is not a good public look for Earick, and it is hard to take him seriously.

If he is serious about his intention to bid for Tottenham, then he needs to do his talking offline and submit an offer that the Lewis family cannot refuse.
