Tottenham takeover talk has exploded with the confirmed exit of Daniel Levy.

Levy stepped down as Tottenham chairman on Thursday, ending his 25-year stay in North London.

Tottenham News learned that takeover bidders could have been encouraged by that immediate news, and that has already gone one step further within hours.

Levy was consistently one of the most controversial figures in the Premier League, but he will be remembered fondly if it leads to a takeover.

Amanda Staveley ready to pounce on Tottenham takeover

Ever since leaving Newcastle United, Staveley has consistently been linked with Tottenham.

It was one year ago, in September 2024, that Staveley was putting together a team with Middle Eastern cash to invest in Spurs, alongside her husband, Mehrdad Ghodoussi.

Levy's exit has taken that to the next level.

Alan Nixon has reported on his Patreon that the Lewis family are already considering their options with Levy out of the picture, and is now heading for takeover talks.

It is said that Staveley and her Qatari backers may have seen the door open after waiting for word to move forward with a possible mega takeover bid.
