Tottenham told to sell James Maddison after insider reveal – ‘Get rid’

James Maddison has had a tough season at Tottenham.

The Englishman has struggled for consistency despite notching 12 goals and 11 assists across 45 matches in all competitions.

The 28-year-old has reportedly attracted interest from Manchester City after a high-profile bust-up with Ange Postecoglou.

He could be set to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as doubts about his long-term fitness persist and a new development has left supporters furious.

Spurs insider Paul O’Keefe revealed (7 May) that Maddison could be sidelined for up to three months and will miss the rest of the campaign.

That would rule the Three Lions ace out of the potential final against Manchester United or Athletic Bilbao if the Lilywhites overcome the Norwegian outfit, as they are expected to.

Tottenham fans reeling after Maddison blow

It is safe to say that Spurs supporters have not reacted well to the latest update on Maddison’s latest injury issue.

Some urged the N17 club to sell the former Leicester star and others labelled Postecoglou’s side as cursed in the aftermath of the news.

Maddison’s injury is a major blow for the North Londoners, despite an inconsistent campaign, he has been one of the most creative players for the team, coming up trumps in some of the biggest moments.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the attacking midfielder in terms of his future, as clubs are unlikely to want to pay a significant fee for a player that is returning from a serious problem.

The ex-Coventry ace will be devastated that he could miss the final and may decide that he wants to make up for it next season with his current club, especially if Daniel Levy gives Postecoglou his marching orders.

However, he may have played his last game for Spurs, if interest is acted upon once he is back in action but it remains to be seen whether that is the case.
