‘Tottenham to win the Champions League’ after Kudus transfer news – reaction

Thomas Frank’s arrival has seen multiple players linked to Tottenham in recent weeks.

One such player is Mohammed Kudus, who has had a decent start to life in the Premier League since his move to West Ham in 2023.

The winger netted 18 times in all competitions in his first season at the London Stadium. While he wasn’t able to replicate this in the last campaign, he is still seen as a top player.

As a result, Tottenham are pursuing Kudus as they look to strengthen their attacking options.

Tottenham fans overjoyed by Kudus links

Tottenham need a new winger this summer if they are to challenge for trophies again next season.

As a result, it was recently revealed that Spurs are willing to pay £50 million for Kudus, which would make him one of the most expensive arrivals at the London club in their history.

Despite this being below Kudus’ release clause, West Ham will consider the offer.

With the transfer seemingly edging closer, many of Tottenham’s fans are overjoyed at the news.

Some even believe that their recent transfer rumours show that Spurs intend on “winning the Champions League” this season.

However, other Spurs fans are unsure if Tottenham will be able to get the transfer over the line. The fact that he plays for West Ham and the low-ball offer suggests that it may be a tough negotiation.

Kudus would be a risky signing for Spurs

As good as Kudus was for West Ham, most of his excellent performances came over 12 months ago.

There is a real risk that Tottenham may end up spending £50m plus on a one-season wonder.

Therefore, the signing of Kudus needs to be carefully considered as they are many better options out there for cheaper.

Hopefully, Daniel Levy and Frank assess all potential targets before finalising the move for the 24-year-old.
