Tottenham fans gutted by ‘Tragic’ Dominic Solanke injury news – ‘Out for the season’
Dominic Solanke has endured a nightmare first season at Tottenham since his move last summer.
The England star has missed 13 matches for the Lilywhites this campaign as injury problems continue to haunt Ange Postecoglou’s squad.
The former Chelsea and Liverpool ace did not miss a single game for Bournemouth through injury last season but has had constant issues in North London.
He returned from his latest spell on the sidelines in the 1-0 Europa League loss to AZ Alkmaar on Thursday but was forced off just 17 minutes after he was introduced from the bench.

Postecoglou handed brutal Solanke blow
The 27-year-old went up to challenge for a cross but was caught in the back by AZ goalkeeper Rome Owusu-Oduro.
It was just the latest blow in a brutal season of injuries for Postecoglou’s side that has left their season riding on Europa League success.
The fact that Solanke had only just come back from a previous spell out and could now be on the sidelines again only serves to make it worse.

Tottenham need Solanke back as soon as possible
Spurs need the forward back as quickly as they can, with the return leg next week, with AZ being the biggest game of the season.
Solanke injuries | Days missed | Games missed |
Knee injury | 45 | 10 |
Illness | 4 | 1 |
Ankle Injury | 20 | 2 |
However, some supporters are convinced that the Lilywhites ace will miss the rest of the campaign despite Postecoglou easing concerns after the contest.
Ange says Solanke just a knock. Out for the season then.

If Solanke is injured again we are actually gonna go out next week already 😂 because Tel is certainly not gonna do anything up front

For a player who loves anime, Solanke never finishes a match in One Piece

Solanke making his return then going off injured just sums us up to be honest, I’m so done man

Absolutely tragic performance. Up there with the worst in recent memory. Can’t think of a single positive other than it’s only 1-0 but the Solanke injury is so disheartening

Has Solanke honestly come on and off injured again? Literally laughable now 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Solanke’s injury is probably worse than the loss itself.

If Solanke is out for the tie next week, it will make Spurs’ job much harder and could end their season, with the lack of firepower without the ex-Bournemouth ace coming back to haunt Postecoglou.
If they manage to progress, the Three Lions ace is vital to the Lilywhites’ chances of winning the competition, without him, they will struggle to do so as the likes of Son Heung-Min, Mathys Tel, and Brennan Johnson could not break down the AZ defence.
The latest blow could be the final straw for Postecoglou, if Spurs are eliminated by a side that they have the quality to beat comfortably, Daniel Levy may decide to call time on his stint in the dugout as there will be no chance to end the 17-year trophy drought that haunts the club.
