‘Get him out’ – Tottenham fans blast back at what Thomas Frank said after incident vs Fulham

Tottenham fans are furious after Thomas Frank criticised them for their treatment of Guglielmo Vicario against Fulham.

Tottenham suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Fulham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

Vicario was at fault for Fulham’s second after failing to poke the ball out of the danger zone when outside of his box.

The action left fans reeling and once again sprouted questions around Vicario’s future at Tottenham

Frank has come out to defend his player, but it may be at the expense of both him and his players.

Tottenham fans fume at Thomas Frank’s Guglielmo Vicario defence

The defeat against Fulham in the Premier League was not the first time fans had a few unsavoury words for Vicario

The Italy international has had several blunders this season, which resulted in Tottenham fans calling for Antonin Kinsky to replace him as Spurs’ number one.

Saturday was no different and supporters in the stadium hurtled boos and chants at the keeper after his costly mistake.

The Dane has since come out in defence of his player, stating that fans booing Vicario during the game was “unacceptable”.

This has outraged Tottenham fans who took to X on 29 November to express their discontent.

“Classic deflection on what was another inadequate and unacceptable level of performance. Stop blaming the fans for spending their money, time and energy to give them the same dross week in week out,” one fan wrote.

“He better be sacked by the time I’ve finished reading all that,” another said. While one more added,“Yeah he’s gone get him out.”

Some fans were quick to agree with the Dane and even jumped to defend him.

“I agree with him and it’s hard to say but it takes time,” one fan said while another added, “Agreed, booing your own during a game is not fan worthy!”

But the majority were unimpressed with his comments and have already begun counting down the days before he departs Hotspur Way for good.

“Who does this guy think he is telling us which fans are real,” one more chimed in.

Either way, with the fans starting to turn on him and the players seemingly uninspired, it could be a matter of days before Frank is relieved from his duties.

Tottenham fans must be kinder to Guglielmo Vicario

It’s easy to follow the herd and bellow chants of ‘Vicario out’ given his disastrous display against Fulham.

But the Italy international has bailed Tottenham out more times than fans can count this season.

Meanwhile, the Lilywhites have conceded the seventh-highest expected goals in the Premier League this season.

This is an outrageous stat and one that hasn’t been debilitating only because of Vicario’s heroics for Tottenham this season.

Individuals have made countless mistakes this season, but this is above all a collective issue.
