Tottenham told to recall Donley immediately amid ‘Unbelievable’ Postecoglou jibe
Tottenham fans want Jamie Donley and Josh Keeley recalled from their Leyton Orient loans after Ange Postecoglou was the subject of a jibe.
Following Orient’s 1-0 home defeat to Stockport County on Saturday 1 February, manager Richie Wellens said he would not copy the Spurs boss by blaming injuries for the loss.
While he has since apologised for his raw comments, fans from North London have poured onto social media to discuss the “unbelievable” choice of words, especially given two of Spurs’ players are on loan with the O’s.
Richie Wellens ruins Tottenham and Leyton Orient connection
One supporter believes Wellens has shown a “total lack of class” while another has called for him to be sacked, though some are on the other side of the fence, suggesting that Postecoglou does make too many excuses.

Wellens has certainly created a difficult situation for the parties to traverse, with two of Spurs’ players currently on loan at the Gaughan Group Stadium.
Postecoglou, of course, wants his youngsters to have the best chance at developing and thriving if they cannot break into the first-team at Hotspur Way, but that chance may have been stripped from them now.
Spurs supporters have every right to be upset with the comments, but with Wellens now apologising for his slip of the tongue, it might just be time for everyone to move on.
The Lilywhites have more important things to be worrying about in the current campaign, rather than dealing with off-the-cuff comments from a League One manager.
With a clash against Brentford up next, all focus needs to be on Spurs pushing up the Premier League table as they flounder in 16th after 23 matches, even dropping below Everton and West Ham.
