Timo Werner has ‘last game in Tottenham shirt’ after ‘shocking’ scenes v Wolves
Tottenham loanee Timo Werner might have played his final game for the club in the 2-2 Premier League draw with Wolves.
Ange Postecoglou saw the pressure on him increase after dropping points against Wolves at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 29 December, with one player in particular really letting his manager down.
Ahead of kick-off, Postecoglou was told to leave the club after his team selection.
However, it appears as though that anger has now shifted toward the players, with Werner getting the brunt of the criticism.
Timo Werner plays final Tottenham game against Wolves?
Werner hasn’t enjoyed the most positive second loan spell in North London. As a result, calls have been made for the German to be sent back to RB Leipzig in January.
The winger has started just three of Spurs’ 19 Premier League games, making an appearance off the bench an additional 13 times, and provided just three assists.
Therefore, it is hardly a surprise that it appears as though fans would be in favour of Tottenham cutting ties with Werner, with one supporter insisting that the 28-year-old has played his final game for Spurs, while another claimed it was “shocking” to watch the forward play against Wolves.

Postecoglou is dealing with a host of injuries at Tottenham at this moment in time. However, the majority of the players who are currently sidelined are defenders.
Richarlison, Mikey Moore and Wilson Odobert are the first-team forwards unavailable. However, Moore and Odobert are both still teenagers.
Therefore, it is clear that Daniel Levy needs to get the chequebook out and improve in the forward areas in January.
