Romero causes huge Tottenham meltdown after update – ‘I want him out of the club’
Cristian Romero has been a massive miss for Tottenham Hotspur since his absence, with Ange Postecoglou feeling the effects of his injury-ravaged squad.
Romero and his first-choice defensive partner Micky van de Ven have both been sidelined for a considerable period of the campaign with their manager regularly forced to improvise, to mixed effect.
Spurs have endured a rough campaign but are buoyed by the fact Romero is back in training; however, some supporters are sceptical about the timing of his return.

Tottenham fans fume after Romero news
Tottenham supporters have taken to social media to air their views following the news Romero is edging closer to the pitch in a Lilywhite shirt.
That is because he is likely to first feature in the blue and white stripes of Argentina, for whom he has 40 caps and who next feature against Uruguay on 21 March.
Spurs fans have criticised and made jokes before at the expense of Romero due to a perception he commits to country before club, having not played since 8 December against Chelsea due to a thigh injury.
One fan branded Romero a “waste of space” while another claimed he wanted him gone and to “pay for his [own] flight ticket”, to be replaced by recent signing Kevin Danso.
Just in time for the upcoming international break…🙄 #WasteOfSpace

Postecoglou needs Romero back
Postecoglou has navigated through some harsh waters and some may be surprised he has emerged with his employment intact at Tottenham.
The Spurs boss still sees his side dwelling in the bottom half of the Premier League table and out of both cups, but recent form has provided some much-needed respite.
Romero has undeniably been a massive void in the side, and the partnership of the Argentine with van de Ven is what helps bring Postecoglou’s brazen style of play to life.
Spurs fans will not lie down however and let players cut corners if they believe they are not putting their club careers first, and many would clearly happily dispense with the World Cup winner if he shows these tendencies.
We now await a potential storm should Romero first return in South America before taking back to the field with a Spurs badge on his chest.
