Wilson Odobert to join bottom half Premier League club on loan amid agent concerns at Tottenham
Wilson Odobert could be set to leave Tottenham when the January transfer window opens.
The winger has failed to establish himself as a regular for the Lilywhites since his move from Burnley, and a fresh start could be on the cards for him in January.
Odobert impressed for Tottenham in pre-season, but has been largely limited to substitute appearances since the beginning of the competitive action.
Thomas Frank has a wealth of options at his disposal in the wide areas, and competition for places has rarely been more fierce in N17 than it is at the moment.

Wilson Odobert and his agent will want more gametime
Gametime has been an issue for Odobert at Spurs in the opening months of the season.
Frank handed the 20-year-old his first league start of the campaign in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Brighton, but his total minutes still sit at just 141 from the opening five games.
It is often hard for a young player to have an impact with such little opportunity, but Odobert finds himself competing against some top-quality players in his position.
Stats (per game) | Odobert | Simons | Kudus |
xG | 0.41 | 0.28 | 0.64 |
xA | 0.13 | 0.13 | 1.01 |

Ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes that a loan move to a team in the bottom half of the Premier League would be ideal for the Frenchman in the second half of the season.
“If Spurs could get a loan move for Odobert, it would be a club in the lower part of the table,” King said.
“He needs games. There’s going to be a chance of football at Spurs, but if he’s not going to be getting a chance in one of these competitions, then I would imagine that both he and his agent will be trying to get games.
“If that means going on loan, then so be it.”

Burnley return could be perfect for Wilson Odobert and Tottenham
Odobert is unlikely to secure a starting spot at Tottenham any time soon, given the quality that is ahead of him in the ranks.
With that in mind, a loan move is surely the best option for all parties, and a return to Burnley could provide the youngster with the perfect chance to shine.
He had a successful two-year stint at Turf Moor prior to his move to N17, and with a return to a familiar and comfortable environment could be ideal to help him rediscover his best form.
Odobert may not be a first-choice player in North London, but he would likely be a key player for Scott Parker’s men.
