‘Value will skyrocket’ – Tottenham duo now have ‘massive opportunity’
Tottenham could be impressed by one dynamic duo in the coming weeks.
Daniel Levy has been keen to strengthen the Spurs squad in time for the Lilywhites’ opening Premier League game against Burnley at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday, 16 August.
His latest target includes Manchester City’s Savinho, of whom he is confident of signing.
Furthermore, the Lilywhites have returned to the charge for Eberechi Eze after opting to pursue Morgan Gibbs-White earlier in the window. However, Spurs could be more impressed by a duo who are already at the club.

This article includes exclusive comments from Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham.
Wilson Odobert and Mathys Tel’s value could ‘skyrocket’
Wilson Odobert has impressed at Tottenham since being given free rein down the left channel in light of Son Heung-min’s departure to LAFC.
- Odobert’s partnership with Pedro Porro was one of the positives from Spurs’ draw against Wycombe, while he later dominated on the left against Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Mathys Tel has struggled for minutes since his loan was made permanent at Spurs.
- This has fuelled doubt about Tel’s future with the Lilywhites, while Odobert’s place in the team seems more locked in now than ever.
However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes that given the departure of Son and the injury to James Maddison, the Frenchmen will have the opportunity to excel in North London.
“When you lose Son and Maddison, you’re losing like 50 goals and assists,” Wenham said.
“That’s the reality. Therefore, we need to see a huge upturn in form from Odobert or Tel.
“If either of them has a lift-off season in terms of contributing regularly with goals and assists and starting games, their value will absolutely skyrocket as young French Internationals.
“There’s a massive opportunity for someone to stake their claim and become a starter in this team, and hopefully become the starting left wing for the next five or 10 years.”

Odobert looks the more promising of the two
If you had asked Tottenham fans about both players’ potential three months ago, they would have told you that Tel had the higher ceiling.
However, Odobert has been the stronger of the two during pre-season. This has not escaped Frank’s notice, who has played him regularly.
As a result, Odobert could work his way into becoming a starter at Tottenham far quicker than his fellow countryman.
