Tyler Dibling ‘to join Tottenham in the summer’ as ‘concrete talks’ held

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Southampton starlet Tyler Dibling.

As reported by Florian Plettenberg via X (24 January), RB Leipzig will continue to do everything possible to sign Dibling from Southampton, while Spurs have held “concrete talks” with the player’s management.

It is understood that the 18-year-old’s most recent injury setback wouldn’t prevent a transfer from happening in the winter window.

However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has suggested that Dibling could join the club in the summer.

“If there was an option to sign him now, I would do it,” Wenham said.

“Even if a deal was expensive, I’d be happy with that. Spurs can pay the money now and Dibling would join the club in the summer. I think he is a genuine, Mikey Moore-level talent who is already playing in the Premier League.

“If we were to have Moore on one wing, and Dibling on the other, that is something I could bet behind as a supporter because it would give the club an identity.”

Tottenham to sign Southampton starlet Tyler Dibling?

If Spurs want Dibling, there is no excuse not to get a transfer agreed. As reported by TEAMtalk (21 January) Tottenham is the forward’s preferred destination ahead of the 3 February deadline.

Therefore, it seems as though the path is clear for Spurs to sign Dibling. However, Ange Postecoglou still needs players who are ready to make an impact now.

Frustration is building among the Spurs faithful as a result of a lack of transfer activity so far during the winter window.
