Troy Parrott to be handed fresh opportunity at Tottenham after recent developments
John Wenham believes Ange Postecoglou will take a closer look at on-loan Tottenham striker Troy Parrott during pre-season.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose feels that a decision must now be made on the 22-year-old one way or another this summer.
Parrott has been playing his football this season in the Eredivisie with Excelsior Rotterdam where he has 12 goal contributions in just 15 starts.
And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – feels that Postecoglou will hand the Republic of Ireland international an opportunity to prove himself.
“I think Parott deserves another chance in pre-season,” Wenham said.
“His contract is set to expire in 2026, so Tottenham do have a bit of time to make a decision on him.
“I expect that Postecoglou will take a real look at Parrott in pre-season and decide what to do from there, and in my opinion, Parrott either needs to be integrated into the squad or sold.”
Could Ange Postecoglou hand Troy Parrott a final opportunity to prove himself at Tottenham?
If a player performs well on loan, they deserve the opportunity to prove themselves with their parent club.
Parrott has certainly done enough in the Netherlands to warrant at least some minutes in pre-season, and he must now prove to Postecoglou that he can bring his form back to England.

Spurs need a new number nine, with the club yet to properly replace Harry Kane.
While Parrott might not be the big-name signing many supporters have been dreaming of, it is worth remembering that Kane was once also a struggling Spurs youngster.
The club have nothing to lose and everything to gain by offering Parrott one final chance to really make a name for himself at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
