Tottenham v Aston Villa team news: Doctor shares Pedro Porro injury update

Tottenham defender Pedro Porro may be ready for a late fitness test ahead of the Aston Villa clash on 10 March, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert has mooted a first-team training return for the right-back this week as he aims to recover from a muscular setback.

Speaking to the media on 1 March, Ange Postecogolou claimed that the 24-year-old was perhaps a week away from returning.

Discussing the state of play with Porro exclusively with Tottenham NewsDr Brara doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said: “It sounds like a muscular injury but there is not much more information than that.

He should be back in training this week after being ruled out for nearly a month.

If he is out longer, it’s likely a higher severity injury or in an area that can be more troublesome.

Should he return to full first-team training this week, it could be a late fitness test ahead of the game on the weekend.
