Tottenham transfer news: Jonathan David medical update emerges
Jonathan David is expected to clear his Tottenham medical without any issues, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims the Canada international’s fitness this season and last season has been impeccable and he’s even at the right age, 25, for a transfer to the Premier League.
LOSC Lille striker David’s agent has offered him to Spurs who are considering alternatives after missing out on Randal Kolo Muani.
Discussing the state of play with David exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, shared his verdict. [GiveMeSport, 15 January]
“He’s had a pretty ideal record in terms of his fitness,” he said.
“Last season too, there weren’t any issues and he even played every league game for LOSC Lille.
“Wouldn’t expect clearing his medical to be an issue with him also being relatively young at 25.“
Tottenham could do with a striker like Jonathan David
Spurs are understood to be keen on having two quality first-team strikers with Dominic Solanke already at the club.
Whether or not this means Ange Postecoglou wants to play one in the number 10 role or constantly rotate them, remains to be seen.

Signing David would certainly help the North London outfit’s chances of qualifying for Europe next season and potentially winning the Carabao Cup this term.
In other Tottenham news, an update has emerged on Julian Nagelsmann as the hierarchy have made a sack decision on Ange Postecoglou.
