Tottenham told to send Pedro Porro on two-week holiday mid-season
Pedro Porro could be handed a much-needed break from his Tottenham duties mid-season.
Porro was expected to be axed for Spurs’ 1-0 Premier League win over Manchester United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (16 February).
However, the Spaniard started the match and cut a tired figure in North London.
Porro has been asked to play plenty of football recently without much rest, which has negatively impacted his performances, with Jamie Carragher left in disbelief after what the right-back did recently.
Therefore, it looks as though Spurs might finally be forced to take action.

Tottenham ‘to send Porro on a two-week holiday‘
Postecoglou is expected to axe Porro in one of two Tottenham changes at Portman Road.
However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has suggested that the club should go one step further and send Porro on a two-week holiday.
“Against Ipswich, I would like to see Destiny Udogie and Djed Spence start,” Wenham said.
“That is nothing against Porro, he has just played too much football recently. He has played more minutes than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues. He has had no rest at all. Therefore, I’d be more than happy for the club to basically say to Porro, ‘Go on holiday for two weeks, go and unwind, you’ve done your bit to help the club through this difficult period.’
“I still think he is an outstanding right-back when he is fully fit and not fatigued. I think he is one of the best right-backs in the league. However, for now, let’s go with Spence and Udogie against Ipswich.”
Porro ‘to miss out for Tottenham v Ipswich’
Udogie was an unused substitute against Manchester United. Therefore, he could return to the starting lineup against Ipswich, which would allow Porro to drop to the bench.
Spurs have very little to play for in the Premier League at the moment. As a result, sending Porro on holiday to ensure he is rested and ready for the return of the UEFA Europa League, might not be such a terrible idea.

Spence has demonstrated that he is more than capable of filling in for the overused Porro. As a result, Spurs would likely be okay without the 25-year-old for a couple of weeks.
