Tottenham told to offer Dante Cassanova new contract after what Tottenham U21 ace did this season
John Wenham believes Tottenham Under-21 ace Dante Cassanova has earned a new contract in North London.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose has been impressed by the 19-year-old’s performances this season.
Cassanova made 15 appearances in the Premier League 2 and has so far started all three of the competition’s play-off matches.
And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has praised the midfielder’s upturn in form.
“Cassanova has been playing out of position over the past few months as a result of injuries,” Wenham said.
“I think he deserves a new contract.
“It was only two years ago that he was almost released, but he has worked hard and put in some impressive performances when called upon this season.”
Dante Cassanova must impress Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham
Cassanova has flown under the radar slightly in North London this season.
With a host of other Under-21 players shining, it has been difficult for the youngster to stand out.
However, he is a versatile player who can operate in multiple positions, which Ange Postecoglou likes.

As a result, the Australian would be wise to take a closer look at Cassanova during pre-season.
In other Tottenham news, a Postecoglou-Celtic clause has been mooted after transfer news emerged in May.
