Tottenham to tempt Crysencio Summerville with big-money offer as Leeds United transfer news emerges
Bryan King believes Tottenham could tempt Leeds United ace Crysencio Summerville to North London with a big-money offer.
The ex-Spurs scout claims that while the Whites would likely not want to let Summerville go, the 22-year-old could have his head turned by the finances on offer at Tottenham.
As per HITC (5 April), Ange Postecoglou’s side are one of several top Premier League clubs keeping tabs on the winger, who has scored 17 goals and provided eight assists in the Championship this season.
Following his goalscoring display in the 2-2 draw with Watford at Vicarage Road on Friday 29 March, Hornets boss Tom Cleverly described Summerville as an “absolutely outstanding” player (via Leeds Live, 30 March).
King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes that Summerville likely wouldn’t take much convincing to make the switch from Elland Road to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
“Would Leeds want to sell Summerville? If they are going to get promoted to the Premier League they will need all the help that they can get.
“But for Summerville, if a club like Tottenham come in and offer the money they can offer, that would be very hard for him to turn down.
“It would be a step up for him though, scoring 17 goals in the Championship is one thing but scoring 17 goals in the Premier League is something else.”

Summerville certainly has quality, as he has demonstrated in the Championship this season.
He is a young player with room to grow and someone who Postecoglou would most likely be keen to work with, given the Australian’s attraction to goalscoring wide players.
However, Spurs have a lot of those players on their books at the moment, and would likely need to make some important decisions before launching a big-money move for Summerville.
