Tottenham to sell Richarlison and bring in Ivan Toney after Spurs insider reveal

Bryan King believes Tottenham could sell Richarlison to fund a move for Ivan Toney.

The ex-Spurs scout feels that the Brentford striker would be the perfect replacement for Richarlison, who has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

It comes after reliable Spurs insider Paul O’Keefe revealed via X (13 May) that Toney is on a list of number nines under consideration by Tottenham.

And King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – feels the 28-year-old could soon be on his way to North London.

“If Spurs want to go big, they need to sign Toney,” King said.

“He would be the perfect replacement for Richarlison for me.

“It would cost them almost nothing if Richarlison was to move to Saudi Arabia because they could use that money to sign Toney.

“I think Toney could be a Spurs player soon.”

Ivan Toney could take Tottenham to the next level under Ange Postecoglou

Toney is a proven Premier League goalscorer.

The England international has been doing it for Brentford, a team considerably inferior to Tottenham.

If he were to switch from Brentford to Spurs, he could take Ange Postecoglou’s side to the next level.

It has become apparent that the North London side need a recognised number nine.

If they were to bring in Toney, it would be a real statement of intent.
