Tottenham to receive ‘big interest’ in Troy Parrott transfer as sell-on clause is mooted

John Wenham claims there will be “big interest” in Tottenham striker Troy Parrott this summer.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose believes the North London side could sell the 22-year-old and include a sell-on clause in the deal.

Parrott has spent the 2023/24 campaign on loan with Excelsior Rotterdam.

He has performed well, recently netting a first-half hattrick in a relegation/promotion play-off clash.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes clubs in the Netherlands could show an interest.

“I don’t think it would be the worst idea if Tottenham were to sell Parrott for a low initial fee with a sell-on clause included,” Wenham said.

“Parrott has the potential to go far in the game, but he has to keep playing.

“He has done well in the Dutch league, and I expect there’ll be big interest in him from some of the top sides in that country.”

Ange Postecoglou must decide on Tottenham striker Troy Parrott

Parrott has enjoyed a positive loan spell overall.

He has yet to be handed a proper opportunity at Tottenham, and Ange Postecoglou now has a decision to make.

If the Australian has no plans to utilise the Republic of Ireland international, then he must be sold.

Another loan would be pointless for the forward, who will want clarity on his future after his time abroad.
