Tottenham to ‘pay Marco Silva release clause’ after multi-million news
Tottenham could easily afford to pay out for Fulham manager Marco Silva if they wanted, Dan Plumley has said.
The Portuguese national is said to have an £8million release clause at Craven Cottage, as he becomes an option to replace Ange Postecoglou if needed.
Plumley, a football finance expert, admitted that it’s more a case of what Spurs think about the money, rather than if they can afford it right now.
“Again, certainly based on the numbers and looking at the overall revenue of Spurs and how they’ve positioned themselves financially over the years, I don’t think £8million is a stretch,” he exclusively told Tottenham News.
“The big question is would they consider it too high for that manager? It’s more of a question of what they thinking of the £8m rather than whether can they afford it.
Ange Postecoglou set for Tottenham sack?
“For me, that is what it would come down to.”

Daniel Levy is under more pressure than Postecoglou, it seems, as he looks to pull a rabbit out of the hat with some late transfers for his manager.
Spurs fans have had enough of Levy already, who has left it until now to look for reinforcements despite injuries destroying this squad for the past couple of months.
Silva has worked well during his time at Fulham but hasn’t achieved great success like that of West Ham winning a European trophy or Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest pushing for top four this season.
Is that how low Tottenham could stoop? Surely not.
