Tottenham to include sell-on clause in Bryan Gil transfer amid Fabrizio Romano reveal
John Wenham believes Tottenham could consider accepting a low upfront fee for Bryan Gil by including a sell-on clause in his transfer.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose believes that a return to Spain would be best for Gil.
It comes after Fabrizio Romano revealed via X (11 April) that the winger would only entertain a permanent solution, with the 23-year-old not keen on another loan switch this summer.
And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has detailed how Spurs could make this happen.
“I could see Tottenham accepting a low upfront fee which includes some kind of sell-on clause,” Wenham said.
“Gil has the ability, he has shown it in Spain, but for whatever reason things just haven’t worked out for him in England.
“The best thing for him to do is leave Spurs, perhaps make a return to La Liga, and some kind of sell-on clause could help move that deal along.”
Will Bryan Gil quit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer?
It is clear that Gil has no future in North London.
Ange Postecoglou has hardly involved the forward this season, and when he has played, he hasn’t made much of an impact.

With Postecoglou likely keen to continue the rebuild of his Tottenham team this summer, it is hard to see where Gil fits into the Australian’s plans.
Therefore, a permanent transfer away from Spurs is probably what is best for all parties.
