Tottenham ‘to demand £70m+ for Kulusevski’ amid Napoli transfer news

Dejan Kulusevski has been a shining light this season, and Tottenham are expected to demand more than £70million for his signature.

Spurs have endured one of their most miserable seasons in Premier League history, with Ange Postecoglou on the verge of being sacked as a result.

Most of the Tottenham players have let the Australian down. However, the same can’t be said for Kulusevski, who has been a rare positive this season.

Therefore, it looks as though Daniel Levy might be prepared to play hardball when it comes to a potential transfer exit as news emerges from Napoli, with Antonio Conte seeking to haunt his former side.

Tottenham ‘to demand big fee’ for Kulusevski as Napoli eye transfer

Kulusevski returned from injury recently, as he came off the bench in the 4-2 Premier League defeat against Wolves at Molineux on Sunday (13 April).

That defeat leaves Spurs 15th in the Premier League and all but confirms that they will not qualify for European football via their league position this season.

As a result, it looks as though Spurs’ only route into Europe, and perhaps the only chance Postecoglou has of remaining at Tottenham, is by winning the UEFA Europa League.

Should the North London club fail to do this, a few of their high-profile players could consider a move away this summer, and it looks as though Kulusevski has an exit route.

As reported by AreaNapoli (9 April), Conte dreams of bringing Kulusevski to Napoli in a move which would see the Italian reunite with the 24-year-old after their time together at Tottenham.

However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes Spurs should be doing everything they can to keep hold of Kulusevski.

“Kulusevski is our best player,” Wenham said.

“Therefore, we should be doing everything we can to keep him. I’m sure he is aware of the difficult season we’ve had. However, we shouldn’t be selling him under any circumstances.

“For me, Tottenham will demand more than £70m, when you consider what other players go for in the market and what Kulusevski brings us. He’s still really young for the experience he has, and we need to keep hold of him.”

Tottenham cannot afford to lose Kulusevski

It has been a miserable season for Spurs, and it looks as though there could already be plenty of change in North London this summer.

Therefore, Levy cannot afford to let Kulusevski go, as the Swede is one of Spurs’ most important players and will be crucial next season.
