‘Tottenham to bring defender back, then get rid of Radu Dragusin permanently’

Radu Dragusin could soon be on his way out of Tottenham.

Dragusin faces an uncertain future at Tottenham after making just one appearance in nearly 12 months due to injury.

The Romania international has recently returned to the matchday squad after Dragusin underwent surgery at Tottenham back in February.

Kevin Danso came in to replace Dragusin last winter, but a new alternative could be in the pipeline ahead of the summer window.

Thomas Frank may keep hold of Dragusin for the time being, but a sale still looks likely once Luka Vuskovic makes his return.

Luka Vuskovic to replace Radu Dragusin at Tottenham

Vuskovic is currently on loan at Hamburg and has been one of the better defensive options in the Bundesliga this campaign.

The Croatia international has already made 15 appearances for the Red Shorts and has voiced his desire to stick around at the Volksparkstadion for next season.

Former scout Bryan King has suggested that he did that to please his current fanbase, but would still jump at a return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

After a positive campaign to this point, the teenager’s summer homecoming in North London looks destined to spell bad news for Dragusin.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, King said: “He’d sooner be playing for Tottenham than Hamburg, believe me.

If he’s a fan favourite there, he won’t want to disappoint them.

He’ll be getting positive vibes from the staff at Spurs because he’s doing a fine job in Germany. He’s got to be looked at as a potential first-team player for Tottenham.

You’d want him back at your club if he’s progressing how he’s expected to progress.

He will be a very big asset to bring back and use next season.

The one thing they’ve got to be looking at is letting go of Dragusin. They’ll be bringing Vuskovic back out, and then they can sell Dragusin.

What has Vuskovic said about staying at Hamburg?

With the current state of the Lilywhites, you wouldn’t blame the loanee for wanting to steer clear of N17 moving into the new season.

There is no positivity under Frank right now, so the Croatian may disrupt his own development if he were to come back and feature for Spurs.

Comments about staying at Hamburg may still not sit well with Tottenham fans, but there are actually wholesome reasons behind his desire.

Vuskovic told 24Sata on Sunday: “I’m a Tottenham player. I have a contract until 2030, and everything that happens in the future will have to be agreed with them. My big wish is to play with my brother one day.

There is an option for us both to start next season at Hamburg. I wanted to show the whole world who we Vuskovics are and how, despite all the adversity, we stand by each other.

It feels unlikely that this will become a reality, but the dream certainly shows what sort of character the North London outfit have on their hands.
