Tottenham to attract marquee signings despite Postecoglou sack news – Exclusive

Tottenham are in desperate need of reinforcements in the summer transfer window.

Spurs will be in the Champions League next season. Whether you can claim they will be competing in it will largely come down to what they can achieve in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham need a fresh injection of quality and depth if they are to have any chance of avoiding a repeat of last season’s domestic failures, though, five days into the window, there has been little to no movement.

Other Premier League clubs have already started their summer business, while Spurs have had other priorities to attend to.

Ange Postecoglou update will not deter potential targets

The future of Ange Postecoglou remains up in the air at Tottenham, though it is believed that Daniel Levy has already made his sack decision, though it is yet to be communicated.

With that uncertainty, questions emerged as to whether Spurs would be able to make any progress on the recruitment front, but Paul Robinson thinks it’s unlikely to affect their plans.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: “Recruitment is not going to be a problem because of the Champions League football. Tottenham’s a massive football club.

“It was a poor domestic season last year, as we know, but I don’t think the uncertainty around the manager’s future will have any impact on signing players whatsoever.

I think the opportunity to play for a football club the size of Tottenham Hotspur and Champions League football will be enough.

“Listen, I signed for Tottenham, and there was no manager. But I don’t think it really matters that much to a player when you’re signing for a club of that size, with Champions League football.”

Tottenham cannot keep wasting time

Whether Postecoglou‘s future will deter players from making the move is subjective, and only the players themselves will really know the answer to that.

However, with Levy caught up in the saga, plenty of the attention will be on Postecoglou, when in reality, it should be on recruitment.

Spurs cannot afford to make any mistakes this summer, and it is crucial that this gets addressed as soon as possible.
