Tottenham shock exit on the cards for Manor Solomon as transfer speculation emerges

John Wenham is surprised by a report linking Manor Solomon with a move away from Tottenham after just one season at the club.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose has suggested there are at least 15 players he would want to see moved on before the 24-year-old was sold.

It comes after reliable Spurs insider Paul O Keefe revealed via X (12 May) that bids for the forward would be considered.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – doesn’t understand why.

“That is a bit surprising,” Wenham said.

“I know Solomon has hardly played, but when he did play, he was pretty good.

“His injury record has been unfortunate, but there are probably 15 players at the club I would rather see go before him.

“There are a lot of players who have been with us far longer and have a similar level of contribution.”

Tottenham should keep hold of Manor Solomon

There is no reason Solomon should be sold by Tottenham.

He demonstrated in glimpses at the beginning of the season that he can be effective under Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs might be frustrated by the amount of time that he has spent on the sidelines.

However, his market value will be low right now as a result.

Therefore, it would be a relatively low-risk move for Spurs to keep him around and see if he has a better season next year.
