Bryan King believes that David Pleat will be a "big miss" for Tottenham after his exit was officially confirmed.

The ex-Spurs scout shared that Pleat had "massive" contacts in the game, and insisted that the club could only have let him go if he wanted to.

Tottenham confirmed the news on Monday 29 July, sharing that after two decades of association, Pleat would be stepping back from his duties.

"He will always be a miss," he exclusively told Tottenham News.

"I know Pleaty very well, I've been on the circuit with him. He's a good football man, he certainly knows what's going on and he's got a massive amount of contacts.

"I don't think you can ever get rid of someone like that unless he wants to go himself, maybe he is getting a bit tired of football, I can't imagine it.

"Pleaty is a football man and that could be a big miss for Tottenham."

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy
Daniel Levy will be under pressure to spend at Tottenham.

David Pleat leaves Tottenham

With Johan Lange attempting to move the scouting department forward, a shift has occurred at Spurs this summer with several exits confirmed.

That has seen the likes of Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall arrive, with fresh young players starting another new generation under Ange Postecoglou.

Hopefully, that can bring success and Pleat may have played a part in that before his exit.
