Tottenham set for another cash injection after new announcement

Dan Plumley has shared that Tottenham will take a “slice of the pot” financially from concerts being held at their stadium.

Legendary US rock band, Pearl Jam, are the latest to announce a concert at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which will be on 29 June.

The football finance expert admitted that talks will have taken place over ticket prices, as well as the catering and other parts of the event which will benefit the club financially.

“They will tend to take a slice of the pot,” he exclusively told Tottenham News.

“It depends on how many concerts and whether the artist is linked to the same management firm or it is the same artist playing multiple dates at the same venue.

If it’s just a one-off, you would look to negotiate a slice of that fee, so they expect the total fee to be gained from that event and Spurs will negotiate a price on that as well, and then there will be conversations around the catering and things like that.

When you roll all of those things together, it’s a fairly straightforward way to approach it, you would just be looking for a slice of the pot and that is your fee for hosting that event.”

Tottenham and Daniel Levy rake in the cash again

Spurs are already one of the best-performing clubs in world football when it comes to revenue, and the new stadium has only seen that increase.

With the likes of Beyonce already performing there, these events and the cash that comes from them, are only going to keep getting bigger.
