Tottenham ready to sanction multiple player exits: ‘They’ll let him go for free’

Tottenham are set to see several academy stars depart North London over the coming months.

Tottenham is home to several promising academy talents.

Luca Williams-Barnett was on the bench for Spurs’ recent 5-3 defeat to PSG in the UEFA Champions League. This came after he debuted in Tottenham’s 3-0 win over Doncaster Rovers back in September.

But despite the wealth of talent at their disposal, some are set to take the next steps in their career elsewhere.

Tottenham could see several academy departures

Recently, Tottenham have offered several Under-16 stars two-year scholarships to play at the Under-18 level next season.

But alongside this, the Lilywhites have seen several players look for alternative options away from Spurs. This comes now that the Premier League 2 has paused until January 2026.

One of these youngsters is Calum Logan, who recently went on trial at QPR. As well as Logan, speaking exclusively to Tottenham NewsTottenham expert and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham believes Tottenham could see several youngsters leave Hotspur Way over the coming months.

“It’s a good opportunity for players that are going to be released to go and troll with other clubs. One of those being Logan, who recently went on trial,” Wenham said.

“He would be been released anyway in the summer, so it’s good for him to have the opportunity. There are others that I expect will be released at the end of their contracts, and good chance for them to be out on trial.

“Matthew Craig, another one who needs to go out, didn’t get a loan, which he should have got in the summer contract coming to an end. I expect if Tottenham can find him a club that will take him now, they’ll let him go for free.

“So there are lots of players that need those opportunities, and this may be why the Premier League has had this break to allow players to try at other clubs”

Tottenham are investing into their academy

The current football era is one dominated by young players who are finally getting their shot at the top level.

Max Dowman is climbing through the ranks at Arsenal, while Estevao is breaking records in the Champions League for Chelsea.

Tottenham are granting chances to both come grown and imported talent from overseas.

Mikey Moore is currently on loan at Rangers, having come through the academy and won the UEFA Europa League with Tottenham during his first full professional season.

He is blossoming on loan at Ibrox:

Meanwhile, Lucas Bergvall has impressed since arriving at the club in 2024.

With the success of Moore and Williams-Barnett claiming the hearts of many, the Lilywhites are investing in their future generation like never before.
