Tottenham make brand new contract offer as behind-the-scenes conversation shared
Tottenham have already offered Oliver Irow a new contract as the youngster continues to shine.
Irow has been in fine form as of late, scoring six goals in his last seven appearances. Therefore, he should no doubt be knocking on Ange Postecoglou’s door for a first-team opportunity.
There were some suggestions that the 18-year-old could leave the club this summer as he was thought to be out of contract.
However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has revealed that Irow has actually been offered a new deal in North London.
“Irow told me that they offered him a new contract,” Wenham said.
“They offered him a new contract in November. He is flying at the moment, fair play to him, he missed so much of last season with injuries but before that, he was on a really high career trajectory at Tottenham.
“I don’t know if he signed the new deal, I just know that he was made an offer. Hopefully, he does put pen to paper, and they keep progressing with him. I’d like to see him head out on loan next season if he does sign this new contract.
Oliver Irow to sign new contract with Tottenham?
Spurs have many talented young players coming through in North London. Therefore, the competition for places in the first team is fierce.
Irow is yet to be handed a first-team opportunity this season. However, after his recent run of form, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Postecoglou was taking a closer look.

And if Tottenham want Irow to put pen to paper, they should encourage the Australian to hand the youngster more first-team opportunities in North London.
