Tottenham make ‘big statement’ as massive contract is agreed in North London

John Wenham has piled praise on Tottenham academy ace Tyrese Hall after he signed a new contract in North London.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose believes this latest agreement showcases the high hopes the club have for the 18-year-old midfielder.

Hall put pen to paper on a deal which will keep him at Tottenham until 2029 (Tottenham Hotspur Official Website, 10 May).

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes the youngster has a bright future ahead of him.

“This is a massive contract for Hall,” Wenham said.

“I can’t think of another second-year academy player at Spurs who was offered a five-year deal.

“That’s a big statement of intent from the club which demonstrates their belief in Hall and how far they think he will go.

“He has always been a player who has stood out to me, he just makes the game look so easy.”

Tyrese Hall can become a star under Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham

Hall had a sensational season in North London.

Starting as a regular for the Under-18s, he finished the 2023/24 campaign as a key player for the Under-21s.

In addition, he earned his first England youth international call-up as he joined up with the Under-19s in March.

After signing this new contract, Hall will be keen to get more first-team opportunities next season.

And with Ange Postecoglou’s side set to feature in the UEFA Europa League, that could be a real possibility.
