Tottenham: Lilywhite Rose shares multi-million Japhet Tanganga verdict after recent displays
John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose believes a bid of £3million will arrive for Japhet Tanganga this summer after the defender’s form on loan in the Championship.
Tanganga is currently playing his football with Millwall after a failed loan move in Germany.
After a difficult start with the Lions, the Englishman has turned things around and has become a standout performer at the Den in recent weeks.
Spurs have the option to extend Tanganga’s deal, which expires this summer, by one year, and Wenham feels as if this is an option the club will now take.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham, the founder of reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, said: “I previously suggested that I wasn’t sure whether or not Tottenham would take up the option to extend Tanganga’s contract by one year.
“However, after his recent performances, I think Tottenham will activate that one-year option and they will then look to sell him on.
“They will definitely get some money for him because he’s proven himself to be a reliable option for Millwall, and he has become something of a leader at the club.
“He’s only 24 years of age and if a £3million bid were to arrive from perhaps a Championship side or maybe even Millwall, that would be worthwhile.”
Japhet Tanganga will be keen to move on from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
It appears that Tanganga’s future lies away from his boyhood club following the arrival of Ange Postecoglou.
The Australian took a look at the centre-back in pre-season ahead of the 2023/24 campaign getting underway and decided that he wasn’t for him.
After a difficult few seasons in which Tanganga has hardly played, he will be keen to make a move away from North London and get his career back on track.

His performances as of late certainly demonstrate a player who is looking to make an impression and secure a move away from Tottenham, and Daniel Levy and the club only stand to benefit from this.
In other Tottenham news, Wenham has shared a “carnage” verdict about one Spurs-bound player.
