Tottenham: Lilywhite Rose predicts what he expects from ‘Huge game’ against Aston Villa
John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose believes that Tottenham will get a result in their “must-win” clash with Aston Villa.
Ange Postecoglou and his players will travel to Villa Park on Sunday (10 March).
Spurs are five points behind the Villans having played a game less, and victory would put a top-four finish back in their hands.
However, defeat could spell the end of their hopes of finishing in an automatic UEFA Champions League qualifying spot, and Wenham believes that this match will go a long way in defining Spurs’ season.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham, the founder of reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, said: “This is a huge game on Sunday. Whoever wins this match will take a lot of momentum going forward and the result will go a long way in deciding who finishes in the top four.
“My expectation is that we will go there and get a result.
“This is one of our biggest games in a long time because if Villa do beat us, they will feel extremely confident about securing Champions League football and really cutting us adrift.
“They beat us twice last year and have the chance to complete the double over us again. This is a must-win game and hopefully, the players put on a performance.”

Whatever Spurs do, they cannot walk away empty-handed from the West Midlands.
Even if all they take is a point, it would at least keep them within touching distance of Villa.
Both teams still have some tough league fixtures between now and the end of the season, and there are likely to be a few twists and turns along the way, but if Villa were to win and move eight points clear then it would make catching Emery’s side incredibly difficult for Postecoglou and his players.
Having drawn 0-0 away against Ajax in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday night (7 March), Villa’s players may feel slightly leggy on Sunday, and Spurs must be ready to take advantage of this.
