Tottenham: Lilywhite Rose labels Fulham player a ‘Threat’ after what he has done recently

John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose believes Tottenham are in for a “battle” against Fulham with Rodrigo Muniz expected to be a “threat” for the home side after his recent form.

Ange Postecoglou will take his players to Craven Cottage for a Premier League clash with Marco Silva’s side on Saturday (16 March).

Spurs have the opportunity to move into the Premier League top four with three points in West London after their 4-0 win against Aston Villa at Villa Park last time out (10 March).

While Wenham still feels as if Spurs are capable of claiming a victory, he is wary of the problems that the home side could cause.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham, the founder of reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, said: “Fulham are an interesting side.

“They signed Armando Broja from Chelsea and then out of nowhere, Muniz has started to perform after contributing very little, and he is now keeping Broja out of the side.

“He will be a threat, and they do have some other good players, but I still fully expect us to go there and win because we need the three points.

“However, our games with Fulham are always tough, they’re always a battle and it will be the same this year.”

Ange Postecoglou will expect nothing less than three points from his Tottenham side against Fulham at Craven Cottage

It is fair to say that Spurs’ backline will need to be switched on against Muniz, with the striker in incredible form.

After hardly featuring for the first part of the season, the 22-year-old has five goals and one assist in his last six league appearances and will certainly give Postecoglou something to think about.

However, based on Spurs’ recent record against the Cottagers, the Australian and his players will be expected to produce a result.

Fulham haven’t beaten Spurs in the league since 2013, with their one win against Tottenham in that time coming this season via a penalty shootout victory in the second round of the Carabao Cup following a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage (29 August).

Spurs usually enjoy success against their London rivals, and Postecoglou will hope for more of the same this weekend.
