Tottenham injury news: ‘Season-ending’ Micky van de Ven update emerges
Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven appears to be brought back to the first-team fold slowly after his injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims given his history of hamstring issues, the club are being very careful with how his return is being handled.
The Netherlands centre-back last played for the Lilywhites at the end of January, in the 3-0 win against Elfsborg.

Spurs unlikely to have Micky van de Ven back at his best until the end of the season
The 23-year-old is a guaranteed starter when fit, but has found that hard to come by in his second season in the Premier League.
Given the intensity of the top flight, van de Ven appears to have overexerted itself and is now not expected to be back to his best until the end of the season.
Discussing the state of play with van de Ven exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, shared his verdict.
“They’ll be dealing with him very methodically considering his injury and reinjury history with the hamstrings along with the pace he plays at”, he said.
“Based on the comments, they are bringing him along slowly and it will take an extended time period of bounce matches and consistent games before he is close to 100 per cent.
“I would expect that more so for next season than this season even though he’s expected to be back way before the season ends.“

Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven both have been absent for Tottenham in recent weeks
Spurs have also missed Cristian Romero at the heart of defence along with van de Ven – adding to Ange Postecoglou’s woes.
Given Dr Brar’s assessment, even if the Dutchman returns in the coming days, the club may still have to be careful with the minutes he’s given on the field of play.

He may have to play a few Under-21 games before he’s ready to be on the bench in a Premier League game.
However, Romero may not have such a long runway in terms of his first-team return despite him also being out for a while.
